How many times have you been preparing to paint the town red with your girl friends, you took a look in your closet and found yourself saying, "All I need is a cute top"? That very statement is where the name of our boutique originated.
Our CEOs, women of God, Vanessa Perry and Alexus Lamara, birthed “I Just Need A Cute Top” in order to create a place where women could shop for chic, stylish tops that made a statement without having to reveal too much skin to do so.
We believe when a woman of God enters into a room her attire should reflect the brilliance, the creativity, and the workmanship of God and that God has called his daughters to stand out in each room they enter. Each one our of our pieces are selected to ensure a woman looks and feels bold, confident, and set apart each time she enters into a room.

Mother and daughter, Vanessa Perry and Alexus Lamara, have always had a passion for fashion—especially tops. While growing up on the Southside of Richmond, Virginia, Vanessa was well known for the ever changing styles of tops she wore. It was always a dream of hers to do something showcasing that tops are the one thing that stands out the most when putting an outfit together and are the most essential piece in creating a look. While Alexus, who also grew up on the Southside of Richmond, Virginia, has always believed that one’s attire shapes a narrative of who they are and should be used as a tool to captivate a room. Alexus and Vanessa are motivated to use IJNACT as a means to promote self confidence through style and fashion encouraging women to always show up boldly and confidently no matter the occasion.
